Can we get weather any weirder than this? One day 60 degrees and less than 24hrs later down to freezing. While the warm did get some sap flowing, we really would like to see more moderate temps in the low 40s and nights well below freezing. But we’ll see. Brian collected today and boiled until 7:30. More sap still needs to be collected tomorrow so hopefully we will be able to boil again sometime this weekend.
Yesterday we picked up an order of the Maple Caramel Popcorn that was such a favorite for a long time. This is from the original Hutchinson’s recipe so it’s just as good as always but now being made by Van Otis Chocolates. And we have a couple new items we are trying from them to see what folks think. Some individual Maple Caramels and boxed Maple Cream Truffles. And we are stocked with Apple Hill Farm Pancake mixes and jams in 6 flavors too.
And we have the pleasure of having more pieces back in stock from Mike Gibbons of Nutfield Pottery. Mike’s a very talented potter and a member of the League of NH Craftsman. Check out his unique, practical and beautiful pieces.
