December 3rd  9am  to  4pm

December 4th 10am  to  4pm

We are gearing up for our Holiday Open House once again.  Can’t believe we’ve been making wreaths as long as we’ve been sugaring but it’s true.  Over 30 years and we are still happy to make so many happy with our unique hand decorated wreaths each year. Our gorgeous, handmade balsam wreaths do go quickly, so be sure to come early for the best selection.

Think about getting your shopping lists in order too and planning a stop to pick up some purely delicious NH Maple Syrup and other goodies for your holiday gift giving.

All our normal supplies are on hand of pure NH Maple Syrup, Candy, Cream and Sugar along with those other specialty maple and local products that have been favorites now for so long.  Maple Mustard, BBQ Sauce, Drops, Apple Hill Farm Jams & Pancake Mixes, and Maple Seasonings. Remember, we always have a variety of Maple Gift Baskets for those hard to buy for family, friends, and coworkers.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.
with appreciation,
Brian & Sue

Thank You, Merci, Danke, Gracias to all the folks who came out to the sugarhouse on Maple Weekend.  It was just terrific having the chance to share our love for sugaring with so many people again.  Lots of familiar faces and more than a few new ones enjoyed the days listening to Brian explaining the ins and outs of the sugaring process, enjoying the sweet maple smell coming off the evaporator and then visiting the store for some fresh maple syrup and yummy maple treats to take home.  You all make this a pleasure for us year after year.

Our love and thanks to our family too –  Megan, Tyler, Simon and Molly for helping out and making things go so smoothly.

Best wishes to All!

Brian & Sue

Open Maple Weekend 10am to 4pm

Both days we’ll have ongoing tours in the sugarhouse to explain the complete sugaring process.  Check out the Maple Trivia Leafs on the wall to test your maple knowledge.  We have a short trail to follow too if you want to take a stroll and see the buckets on the trees nearby.

There will be lots of 2022 maple syrup on hand to purchase as well as all the other great products we have to offer.  Check out our Products page to see a full list with prices.

Please do not : park on the hill beyond our driveway or the opposite side of the street from us so that local traffic can travel safely on Candia Rd.  Street parking on Sheepwash Drive, a brief walk from us, is another option.

Our apologies, but due to Covid 19 we are not doing samples this year.

This week was cold and not good for sap flow but we were busy making some of our other maple confections.  The kitchen smelled wonderful this week while we made fresh batches of maple cream and maple taffy too.  We’ve had folks looking for those maple cream cones for weeks and it’s been a challenge to get the cones.  Like everything else that has supply chain issues, the cones were backordered in Canada.  But we found some sugar cones to replace the cake cones and we’ll have them for sale this weekend.  Along with these, we packaged up more of our Grade A Amber maple syrup from last week so we have plenty on hand.

Can we get weather any weirder than this?  One day 60 degrees and less than 24hrs later down to freezing.  While the warm did get some sap flowing, we really would like to see more moderate temps in the low 40s and nights well below freezing.  But we’ll see.  Brian collected today and boiled until 7:30.  More sap still needs to be collected tomorrow so hopefully we will be able to boil again sometime this weekend.

Yesterday we picked up an order of the Maple Caramel Popcorn that was such a favorite for a long time.  This is from the original Hutchinson’s recipe so it’s just as good as always but now being made by Van Otis Chocolates.  And we have a couple new items we are trying from them to see what folks think.  Some individual Maple Caramels and boxed Maple Cream Truffles.  And we are stocked with Apple Hill Farm Pancake mixes and jams in 6 flavors too.

And we have the pleasure of having more pieces back in stock from Mike Gibbons of Nutfield Pottery.  Mike’s a very talented potter and a member of the League of NH Craftsman.  Check out his unique, practical and beautiful pieces.
