We had the best run of the season so far Sunday so we were able to make a fair amount of syrup Sunday and Monday.  Looking for more before the week is out if all goes well.

Some of you may have heard there are places in the western part of the state with serious ice damage that is raising havoc with the sugaring operations.  Hopefully they can all get cleaned up and not suffer any more set backs.

Don’t forget to spring ahead on Saturday night.  This is always great for sugaring because the extra daylight at the end of the day means you can collect later if there is lots of sap.

Those weathermen…boy!  Last weekend they were talking some good sugaring weather this week but we have yet to see it.  The talk now is for warm weather on Saturday though. Cross your fingers; we are.  We will be open this weekend with new syrup for sale that we made last weekend.  Saturday and Sunday we’ll be open 12 – 5 pm.   If the weather works with us we’ll be boing on Sunday but not Saturday.

Maple Weekend March 19 & 20, 2011

Maple Weekend

March 19 & 20, 2011

More information will be posted later…

February 25, 2011

Despite the snowy, rainy mix today there is some sap out there from yesterday so Brian is collecting.  We’ll be boiling tomorrow for as long as the sap lasts. There has not been enough sap to actually make syrup for this season but we do have limited amounts of Medium amber and Grade B from last year on the shelves.

February 19, 2011

Brian began tapping this week on Monday and by Friday he was collecting the first run of the new season – our 20th!.  But things chilled off quickly so we have to wait for more sap to get some syrup made.

We expect to be open next Saturday Feb. 26th from 12 pm to 4 pm.  Weather will dictate if we will be boiling or not.
